It is common for us to hit the wall once in a blue moon or feel unmotivated. We begin to wonder why we are doing what we are doing or how we can grow from that point on. Oftentimes, various situations lead to us feeling stuck and that is very much okay. Below, I am providing you with three ways to untangle yourself and feel unstuck.

1) Taking a step back

Taking a step back allows us to look at the bigger picture of why we do certain routines or set certain goals. Look at your overall vision board and replace some areas that have been accomplished. Ask yourself:

· What has worked? What has not worked?

· What can I do to achieve my goals?

· What is something new I want to achieve?

· What needs to change? And how can I change it?

2) Find your purpose

Spend time to think why you started the tasks or routine and what you want to accomplish. Finding your purpose would help you realign your focus to your goals. Try this:

Meditate for at least 10 minutes every morning and night to set your intentions.

· Ask yourself why and how questions:

Why do I want to achieve this?

How does this serve me?

3) Take action:

Taking steps to get unstuck can feel daunting, but you can take baby steps along the way. Breaking goals into ones that are small and attainable can lead to more success than quick or large goals. Breaking goals into smaller ones allows you to feel your accomplishments and continue being motivated. Ways to break goals into small tasks:

· Running 5k: 1 mile today, 1.5 tomorrow, etc. until you reach your goal successfully.

· Renovating home: Laundry today, clean two rooms tomorrow, then kitchen

· Set Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant Time-bound (SMART) goals

Utilizing these methods to reconnect yourself to your goals is going to help motivate you to get right back on track; however, we should not have to pressure ourselves to achieve perfectionism. Review your goals and/or tasks on a regular basis to assess the progress you are making for yourself. Some of the goals that you have created may have been unaccomplished due to many factors outside of your control. How do you pivot those goals to continue? Remember to be kind to yourself. Feeling stuck can also mean you are burnt out or overworked. If so, try to pause and give yourself a “checked out” day to readjust and come back with an open mind.
